The Hotel

Sooke Harbour House is an iconic oceanfront hotel on the southwestern tip of Vancouver Island, just 40 kilometres west of Victoria. Guests enjoy stunning views of the Juan de Fuca Straight, Whiffin Spit Trail, and Olympic mountain range in the distance. Of our 30 spacious and refined guestrooms, 28 feature ocean views, and each maintains an original design and character. Expect wood-burning fireplaces, contemporary furnishings, and plush details that set a relaxed and inviting atmosphere.

Our on-site restaurant, cafe, and wine cellar turn out classic West Coast fare, delicious baked goods and coffee, and a spectacular wine list to compliment your stay.

Our Future

Sooke Harbour House previously gained local and international acclaim under the ownership of Frederique and Sinclair Phillip, gaining recognition by the New York Times, the Globe & Mail, Gourmet, and others for its enticing seaside location and authentic local cuisine.

Today, Sooke Harbour House is a jewel in the Catalog Hospitality portfolio. Its rich history and inviting presence matches our philosophy well. For us, hospitality isn’t just about serving guests, but actively generating culture, community, and inspiration.

As we continue the legacy of this important landmark, our focus is on iterating to perfection—creating intentional stays, meaningful connections, and dynamic experiences that build intrinsic value well beyond a single visit.
